Because of all the problems and that she never got back to me I canceled our reservation at Fairbanks Steakhouse and took our high dollar business dinner of 10 to the Chicago Steakhouse the Gold Strike. I sent an e-mail and put in a call to the reservations manager that booked our rooms, not a word back. I complained to one of the girls at the front desk, she pretty much had the attitude like live with it and quit bothering me. The internet in the room was slow or down most of the time. I went to take a swim in the pool one night and it was shut down for repairs. Pretty gross! Also, the hot tub at the pool was broken, no water in it. I asked house keeping to come up and sweep the floors, they didn't get all the hair out so I just lived with it. The next room which I stayed in was filthy, hair all over the floors. The room I was first given smelled so bad like smoke, I couldn't stay in it. I've been staying at the Hollywood for years.

Won a little money playing Craps so this probably helped my opinion of having a good time. The comp cut back and the employee reduction are probably the result of casinos not making enough money(reduced attendance) and need to cut back or go broke.īuffet is good and Crab Legs and Prime Rib night is very good. This is probaly a good idea anytime but now comp is really stingy so just buy your meals which are a resonable cost. Also don 't plan on getting 'comp' (even for a free buffet) unless you put a lot of your money out.

The casino slots seemed to not be returning a normal amount which was most people's opinion. Looked at the indoor swiming pool and it is very nice and large for casino pools. Everybody pleasant but not enthusiastic- just glad to have jobs. Service is good but it is obivious that staff is overwokred ,e.g.,-doing more than one job at reservations, buffet check-in also being seating hostess. We asked for room overlooking casino and could not hear noise from the casino but when the heating air turned on it was a bit noisy for me as a light sleeper- ear plugs are my standard.

Rooms for these days were a very good price. Room was very nice and quiet,clean and good size. Viisted Hollywood Casino and stayed at the hotel March 12th to the 15th.
